How do I get paid?

For each battery you sell and install, you’ll get paid an extra $40 on top of what you earn for a completed WO. The total number of batteries sold by the end of the week (Monday-Sunday) will be paid out the following week. You can find this broken down in your weekly email as a single line item.

In your app, you will see a button titled “Place Order” after clicking the bottom right hand corner battery symbol. Click that button and fill out all the information in the form. Once submitted, the battery team will be ordering your battery. Once the battery is ready for pickup, you’ll receive an automated SMS message saying the location you ordered to, what battery, and what PO number is needed for pickup. Whenever you sell a battery you’ll have a core. The Auto Rescue team reccomends you take the core out of the vehicle before you pickup the new battery for an easy 1 time swap. However, as long as you hold onto the receipt that the store gives you upon picking up a new battery, you can use that to return the core.

If you do not return a core, you will be withheld $20 from your next check. If you’re needing help or having issues reach out to the battery team.

Once you sell your first 10 batteries, you will have the option to carry up to 4 batteries with you. This number can increase as you sell more batteries but will be decided by the battery team.

There are several ways to check which battery type the vehicle you are headed to needs. You can reach out to the battery team which can give you an answer during regular business hours. You can use websites like Advance Auto Parts battery lookup tool here. There are apps like the B2Q testing app. Although this app is for a specific tester, you can still use it to lookup battery sizes for different vehicles when downloading and making a profile. You can find that app for Android here or Apple here. Lastly, most batteries installed in vehicles have a sticker showing which size is currently in the vehicle which you can use as a reference point.

You can check prices for batteries after finding which battery size is needed for that vehicle. Once you know the battery size you can find the cost of that battery (before tax) when clicking the “Sell Battery” button within the ARS app.

Yes. When filling out the “Sell Battery” form, just place a 0 in the WO field and you’ll be paid out like you installed this on a regular WO.

As long as the vehicle is an eligible vehicle you can sell outside of an ARS WO.  Just type 0 on in the “Sell Battery” form.

It is a 2 year/24,000 mile warranty backed by Advance Auto Parts nationwide.

Motorists will need to reach out to the Auto Rescue team. When they reach out, the Auto Rescue team will work with the closest Advance Auto Parts to get the battery swapped with a new one.

We do not do battery installs for European vehicles, vehicles that have a Diesel engine, vehicles that require removing tires, seats, floorboards to get to the battery, vehicles that have multiple batteries or Sports cars.

As long as the tester checks the battery, starter and alternator, you can choose your preference. The Auto Rescue team recommends TopDon & B2Q battery testers.
